Environmental Champion to Lead ASG Group’s Decarbonisation Commitment at Farnborough

As the Farnborough International Air Show 2024 unfolds, ASG Group is reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and decarbonisation, with a notable presence at the event. Dean Unwin, the Group Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, is representing ASG Group, engaging with industry stakeholders to advance the company's environmental agenda and explore collaborative opportunities for a greener future.

The Aerospace Global Forum (AGF), a key feature of this year’s air show, focuses on driving immediate action towards a net-zero economy. ASG Group is fully aligned with the forum’s mission, showcasing its ongoing efforts to integrate sustainable practices into aerospace manufacturing.

ASG Group's commitment to reducing its carbon footprint is reflected in its recent initiatives across its subsidiaries. These efforts include significant investments in green technologies and collaborations aimed at fostering a sustainable manufacturing environment.

At ASG Produmax, based in Bradford, the company is actively involved in the Bradford Manufacturing Futures project, which seeks to develop sustainable manufacturing practices. Jeremy Ridyard, Managing Director of ASG Produmax, noted: "Our collaboration with Bradford Council is a testament to ASG Group’s commitment to decarbonisation. By working together, we aim to set a standard for sustainable manufacturing practices in our region and beyond."

In Bromborough, ASG AMF has embarked on a major solar energy project, installing nearly 700 solar panels to create a 220kW system. This investment is expected to produce approximately 160,000 kWh annually, generating significant financial and environmental benefits. Simon Kirkman, Managing Director of ASG AMF Engineering, shared: "Our solar panel installation is a critical step towards enhancing our environmental performance. It not only helps reduce our carbon impact but also aligns with our strategic goals for sustainability."
